The End of Spring at Gateway 2016

1.   1 Staple all year round but in Spring they just look fresher! The last of the two horse patrols left in Fort Lauderdale

2, 5, 9, 14 A new tenant in Building T moved in and is making everyone look beautiful! Thanks Laurie.

3   Cut off the top, plant it and soon you have a pineapple!

4, 8, 12, 15 The Point is beautiful every time of the year but the ever changing scene in June just adds a bit to the view.

6 & 7 Okay it took me years but I finally grew a pepper from the pepper seeds I usually throw out—no more!

10 A rose in front of building E—sadly because of the sun there is no aroma!

11 A stag horn fern in front of building F—at least a decade old!

13 In front of building G facing Karen Bay the palm blooms

16 And in front of building D another flower in bloom—ME!

I'll see what kind of search mybloggers will let me do. I won't be able to plant them outside. It has to B stay about 45 and you know how that goes! But after it grows a few leaves I will be able to plant it in a pot.

I am growing two avocado seeds. It takes at least three weeks for the fun to begin so I should be posting a pic or two in the next two weeks. They turn out really nice if they turn out at all. I never had much luck with this sort of thing tho. Only thing I can grow well indoors are spider plants.

Heck anyone can grow spider plants--just throw them in or on dirt and they will grow!!

A couple of years ago I grew 2 avocado plants from the seed and eventually they grew big enough to plant outdoors---one was cut down by the lawn maintenance people but the other has thrived--I did a few posts on them IF you want to hunt them down here in the archives!
