I have to pick Allen up at 7 PM on Monday and I have so much left to do on my ‘to do list’—where have the last 24 days gone???

Just this week I had to go to see my heart doctor at the Broward heart Medical building (#1) and got a clean bill of health. After that it was 3 trips to my primary for my blood work, a sit down to go over the results and a visit to check my home monitoring machine versus a lab test. Both the blood work and the machine tested okay. (2nd picture is of Michelle and Sandra who runs the doc’s office like a well oiled machine with personality. After that I went to the Hanger Clinic (#3) to be measured for my prosthetic finger but it is still too swollen so I have to go back in 2 weeks. Then I had to go to have my eyes tested for new glasses and guess what?

My newest favorite restaurant Cabo Blanco (6) is right next door saw we went for lunch and I had the children’s sausage and fries—don’t ask--(5)---followed by fish stew (#4). Their portions are so big I took some of the soup with rice home! Talking about food after going to the Hanger Clinic I went out to Allen’s to get his mail and check his place. Since I was out that way and he only lives a few blocks away I decided, since I hadn’t been there in a couple of years I would go to The Golden Corral (#7) and surprise! Surprise! They had carrot cake (#8) on their dessert selections so I was forced to have some!!

We had some rain so Calvin (#9) got all prepared with a honcho and plastic bags over his shoes! Hey we don’t play games in the rain here. Anthony (10) with me at Cabo Blanco—he had the shrimp over linguini dish I had the week before and loved it! The we have the elusive Todd (11) who hates to have his picture taken so I have to ‘sneak’ them. This was Friday when we went to see “The Light Between Oceans” at the Regal (12). Unlike Todd I am never shy when it comes to taking pictures and this (#13) is me at Cabo Blanco.

Yesterday I went to the Home Depot and got some new plants (#14-17), brought them home, potted them, worked on the other plants, watered and feed them all.

Always have to spend some time in the park reading and looking at all the different flowers (#18).

Today there was a surprise a few tables away (19). There was a couple who seemed to be cooking something over/in a small apparatus and the aroma filled the air. I was curious enough to go over and ask them what they cooking, politely, of course, and they told me chicken and rice with spices that they pour hot water over. I asked if I might take a picture because I was intrigued and, after a big smile, she said yes.  I hope to see them again so I can give them a copy of the picture.

All this was just the first 4 days of the week and I have a load of things still to do over the next 4 days! WHEW! I will need a vacation when Allen gets home!
