It's been pretty dry here, but Saturday night there was a 40% chance of rain. By sundown it didn't look too promising, but when I checked at 9 pm, it was coming down steadily. Darn! I should have applied the weed and feed!
No problemo, for me, though, because I've got yard lights. I geared up in a full-length plastic raincoat and L L Bean duck boots plus a baseball cap. To keep the Weed 'n Feed dry I draped a trash bag over the top of the fertilizer spreader. While I was out there I hoped the mountain lion wasn't watching me.
There are big flood lights on the pine trees in the back yard at my house, so it was light enough out there, and I used a flashlight for the rest of the yards. It was hard to see where I'd been, so I'm sure the grass is going to be striped, with either dark green where it overlapped, or light green where it didn't reach far enough. I don't care.
The main thing was the stuff got put on the grass and the rain watered it in.
I have one more big yard to go, and no rain in the forecast, but I'm ready to run out there, night or day when it gets here.
