To me, Nicholas Sparks = sweetsie chick flick.

Mr. YouKnow used to be a registered Republican, but lately changed to Independent. He doesn't talk much, and certainly not about politics, so even after 37 years of marriage I can be surprised at the answers when I ask where he stands on issues like abortion or foreign policy. It's not so much that we are voting for something, it that's we're cancelling out the other one's vote.

Me too. The word 'dough' did it for me.

It must have been very difficult to be separated from her husband and have to depend on the success of him skiing over the Alps to be reunited.

I was thinking what John said - the sound guys have those fuzzy covers on their microphones. I'm going to try it here because I've had that wind problem here, too.

Happy Easter to you, too. The actual day has passed, but the spirit lingers for a few more days. I didn't bake any special buns this year - hot cross buns with currants that I had to order by mail, or some other special bread. Thinking about it seemed to be enough.

Seems like it's been awhile since we've had a restaurant review. I always enjoy them.

Right there, a story like that is enough to scare us all into doing whatever we can to stay in good shape.

I agree about Al Pacino - Mr. one-note, so it's good to know he got away from it finally.

Tranquil, and yet perky and refreshing.

I'll take a look. I should post more videos. I'm working on one that documents a raven up here that yodels. Until I knew it was the raven, I pictured some bird drawn by Dr. Seuss making that noise.

Great memories, Teal. They are before my time, but we called our refrigerator 'the ice box.'

What a mess, but the peace of mind once all the pipes are replaced and walls repaired will be worth it. I hope you get to feeling better soon.

My cousin who has all the kids had breast reduction surgery back when she was younger because she is very religious and didn't want guys admiring her. I never saw her pre-reduction, but she's very tall, so might have looked like Barbie. She was warned it could affect breast feeding, and sure enough, it does. But she uses some system of bag and tubes that fools her babies into thinking it's really breast feeding - for the bonding, etc.

It's wonderful that you were able to get out for once - such a recluse!
