This afternoon we carried a full hummingbird feeder over to the red cabin. We have to keep it supplied over there so when there are guests the birds will be around to entertain them. There are about ten birds now, mostly females. We only saw one male broad tail (the green ones with the red throat) and a male rufous who comes around about every 10 minutes and stirs everyone up.

We relaxed on those yellow lounge chairs on the porch and watched the hummingbirds at the feeder, plus we could see the osprey in the distance circling overhead looking for prey. That cabin is alongside the highway - not at the same level, but we can see the cars going by and hear the swish as they pass. It's very relaxing, like people watching. Dozing on and off, we were there about an hour.
