We pass by Mountain Crest Park in northwest Las Vegas almost every day, and I kept seeing these 30 something men carrying what looked like large purses or carryon bags over their shoulders. Frankly, to me, they looked like couch-potato Trekkies wandering around.
Come to find out they are playing frisbee golf, and the bags are for the various frisbees.
Here is one being worn like a back pack:
The 'holes' are really these stands:
Here is how the course is marked:
It is a very popular course, and a guy in Vegas maintains a good web page about the sport in general. He refers to it as "Disc Golf" which is probably more politically correct, trademarks being what they are.

Here is an aerial view of the park:
According to the website, some of the holes have been moved because too many discs were hitting cars and sailing into peoples' back yards. We haven't walked the course, but were wondering how it went over to have these frisbees winging past the birthday parties and dog walkers, but I guess they all get along. I've seen players bring their own dogs, but it looks to be a problem because they have to hold onto them so they won't chase the discs.
