This Oughta Be Good

Not a Burden, It's a Fact

It's a beautiful hot day (90s) here in Las Vegas. The humidity is low and there is a gentle breeze every so often so it's nice sitting in the shade.

Mr. Troutbend thinks he has the flu - he threw up all night and still can't keep anything down. He drank some Cold and Flu medicine and felt good enough to take a shower but then he threw up again, so now back to bed. I don't know what to do for him, so I hope it is a 24 hour bug because there is no food in the house and I will have to go to the store to buy Jello if he's going to keep on with this.

I know he's worried because his big deal bowling league is tomorrow and he is tied for first place, so he would hate to miss it. There are only a few sessions left this season. The higher he places, the more money he gets back from it.

Remember I told you that I was waiting until I got back to Colorado this coming weekend to really spend some time on MyBloggers responding to comments and catching up with everyone? That still stands, especially because the comments/replies I tried to post last night didn't 'take' - just disappeared. Oh foo, I said. I particularly liked Steve's comment about how it sounds like a country western song because that's just how it is - bowling is the most important thing to Mr. Troutbend and the family revolves around that. It's not a burden, it's a fact of life.

So I'm still here, but I'm not here. I will, however be back soon.

Household tip: take the corner of a small piece of paper like a Post-It-Note or a check and run it along the gap between your computer keys. At the end of each run you'll be able to pull out a satisfying clump of hair and dirt. You can also turn your keyboard over and pat it like burping a baby and stuff will come out of it. There is also that Dust Remover - compressed air in a can - that you can spray into the cracks, but running the paper through there is the most fun and gets more/different stuff than the air alone.
