The bighorns like to lick the salt off the roads in the winter. Although they spend a lot of time near the highway I've never seen where one got hit. They are smarter than deer in that sense.
That top picture really came out good, considering I take all my pictures on the fly, as I drive past, with the exception of that close-up that looks posed.
