Tomorrow I am going to drive to Cheyenne for an antique auction. I hadn't planned on going, but was going to email Honeybugg about it, and then got to looking at the pictures and have decided I must go. Never mind the historic homes tour in the town where I grew up and my grandma's house is one of the homes. Never mind driving to Denver to visit the in-laws with Mr. Tbend.

No, I am loading my bungee cords and moving blankets in my pickup and hitting the road early so as to get up there in time to rummage through for the preview.

It is an early 1900s arts and crafts house and a lot of original furniture and stuff. There is also 1950s and 1960s furniture and stuff. If you look at the photographs, there is one painting of a house all by itself, and that's the house the auction is at.

It looks like a lot of good furniture was stored in the attic and basement. There is a 1920 Steinway pianola player piano and rolls of music. There is an electic motor instead of foot pedals to run it. Mr. Troutbend has flat out told me not to bring that home. If I was Tealstar, I would have to own it, even if there is not room for it anywhere. Somehow I'd make room.

What really caught my eye is a painting of iris in bloom next to the lake in the park there in Cheyenne, done by a local artist up there. It may not look as good in person, but I have to see for myself. And who knows what wonderful treasures I will come home with.

I'm hoping Ms. Honeybugg will call me on my cell phone while I'm up there and we'll see if we can get together, if even just to say hello.
