Hard to Find

Today at our high crime Wal-Mart we found some Ball brand plastic lids to use with wide-mouth canning jars as an alternative to the ring and lid system they have been selling for years. The plastic lids are primarily for freezing in the jars, but can be used for left-overs. This has nothing to do with travel, I'm just excited about them.

My hotel supplies supplier sent me an email today that all drop-side baby cribs have been banned. Hotels, motels, and day care providers must immediately replace any drop side cribs with these traditional style models that look like something from a Romanian orphanage.

Here's an interesting website. They have sheets in all sizes so if you have a day bed, a cot, a sofa bed, a 'split king' or a really thick mattress you're having trouble finding sheets for, this would be a good place to look.

Hard to Find Sheets.com

Here's an interesting article from their site:

"Split Size Bed Sheets -vs- Split Head Bed Sheets?
Did you know that even though both of these sheet sizes are hard to find and although they sound very much alike, they are far from being the same size of sheet?

The “Split Size” bed sheet refers to a sizing that will accommodate a bed that is split completely down the middle. Essentially, this bed is made up of two separate units. For example, a split king size bed will consist of two units measuring approximately 38″ x 80″ each. You will need split king size sheets for this type of sleep system.

The “Split Head Size” bed sheet refers to a sizing that will accommodate a sleep system that is also split down the middle BUT does not completely separate. In other words, this type of sleep system is adjustable and split but only at the top portion of the bed. This size of sheet is also commonly referred to as a “Split Top” sheet. Both descriptions are used for this size of bedding.

Many higher end mattress manufacturers produce both the split size and the split top/head size sleep systems. Some of the better know brands are Tempurpedic, Comfortaire, Dormia & Natura."
