How 'Bout Them Broncos?

The Broncos just surprised the heck out of me by scoring a field goal from 59 yards to tie the game with the Chicago Bears, and then making another field goal in the overtime, 51 yards this time.

There was a game early this season when the kicker did not make a field goal and the game was lost. And a Bronco field goal attempt was blocked in today's game, so a kick is not a sure winner for them this year.

Poor Marion Barber on the Chicago team is the goat because he didn't stay in bounds and run out the clock with seconds left in regulation play. That is what gave Denver the chance to make the field goal and tie the game. Then, the ball got stripped out of poor Marion's hands during the overtime, giving Denver possession for the winning field goal.

And Green Bay beat the Raiders, so now Denver leads its division.

Mr. Traveltales is in Laughlin (Nevada) for a bowling tournament this weekend, so I'm here with just the cat. He (the cat) enjoys a good football game, but he missed the excitement because he was napping. He was discouraged at half time when the score was 0 - 0. And then the Broncos were down 16 points going into the fourth quarter.

This is the mighty Colorado River at Laughlin. After going through some dams that filter out the silt, the water is crystal clear.

The football fans in this household will never get over the O.U, O.S.U.game.

While I was watching the game, I made some focaccia bread (like Pizza Hut cheesy bread) and dipped it in spaghetti sauce.
