What a Great Time We Had.

We were invited by a friend to attend the evening celebration of her daughters wedding. I was unsure if we would go as we don't have a child minder for Alexander, but they said to bring the children too. Richard wasn't at all fussed about going so he stayed with his grandfather. He could choose which of his two grandfathers he wanted to stay with as we were going to pass both grandfathers houses to get to the castle the wedding was taking place in. He made his choice based on who has the most satellite TV channels. What a way to choose!

Here is a picture of the venue.
Craig-y-nos castle.

When we arrived Alexander wanted to go home. He was very distressed. I wonder if this could have been the reason?
I hope this you tube clip works.

I know this ghost is real, as Lynnie and I have seen it when we were children

I took a couple of photo's on my phone, but it was so dark that I didn't take any more. Here are the two I did take.

Alexander was miserable until this little girl turned up. Charlie is the brides niece, and is in the same class as Alexander. They were doing the hockey kokey. Charlie is just vanishing from view-on the right, in the white next to Alex. The bride was an absolute star. She made everyone feel welcome, even the kids.

It got so crowded and noisy that we went into another room. The little kids were getting tired. Alexander spotted chocolate cake and made himself comfortable .

I DIDN'T WATCH ALL THE VIDEO CLIP UNTIL AFTER I POSTED THIS BLOG. MY GOD I WENT COLD WHEN I HEARD ABOUT THE LITTLE BOY. ALEXANDER IS 3AT THE MOMENT!FREAKY.

I'll have to see this when I get home. I do know that this stuff is very very real!

My, that was some video! Eerie but cool! This is not a country for such old structures as that, so there's a feeling of fairytale and cold chill at the same time. Being haunted, well that just adds to the mystique.

The castle itself, though, must have made quite a setting for a wedding. I can picture in my mind what it must have been like. I envy Alexander a little bit, too...yummy on that chocolate cake!

I saw your smiling face on my "friends" list and so thought I would pop over to say hello. Wow, a wedding at a haunted castle... what fun... or maybe not. Yes, I've seen this episode on the tv series. I just don't know whether to believe in ghosts or not. But, if like you and Lynnie, if I saw one... I'm certain I would believe.

I recall watching this particular episode! Excellent series. They also did a 'follow up' series of 'what happened after they had 'stopped filming' ~ can't remember what they called it though. I managed to see a few episodes, but not of the 'Craig-y-Nos' show ~ I was really miffed, when I realised I had missed it!!!
Gonna make a coffee ~ be right back . . .
Back now, (weren't too long, was I)?
OK, where was I? . . . Oh yeah. This was filmed after, Paul (the Boff) had finished College. Whilst he had been, in college, he and a group of students, had spent the night in Craig-y-Nos Castle, in a 'sort of' vigil.
Obviously (!!) I had informed him of, all the events that you and Lynnette (& classmates) had witnessed, when you were there!
Undetered, he ventured forth (wonder if, he had dug out his old 'ghostbuster paraphanalia'? just a thought) . . . As it happened, no 'incidents' occured. They had 'paired up' and gone to various parts of the Castle, but, 'some parts', were 'out of bounds' to them. I 'wonder', if these were the parts, that most of the 'hauntings and sightenings', had taken place??? If, I had wanted to, I was able to have gone with the College, but as it wasn't toooo long after my 'op. etc.', so Chris had put his foot down and banned me from going (as if, seeing a ghost was going to frighten 'me' !!!)
The Castle, is so, eerie ~ beautiful though ~ but eerie all the same.
It was interesting to hear how Alex reacted there. . . kiddies 'pick up' on a psycic presence!
The photo of the bride, looks almost 'ghost-like' ~ if you look closely, it makes her look almost 'transparent'!
Then the photo of Alex chomping away happily () shows what seems to be, 'a silver dish' falling through the air, close to him!!! ???
Weird, I think!!!
Are 'the public', still allowed to walk around the grounds?
Glad you all had a great time
