What a day! I left the house at 10.30 to buy a paint brush so that I could gloss the doors and door frames in the kitchen. Then I decided that it can't possibly too hard to grout the tiles, so I had a go at that. I must say that I have done a good job. It took all afternoon with only the slightest break in between, but I couldn't face being in the same room as the kids watching rubbish on television.

I have cleared up all the DIY bits and pieces that were taking root on the windowsill and gave everything a good clean. Pity it started raining 'cos the windows need a clean. Finally I washed the floor. I am now hoping that the floor will dry by the time we pick father-in-law up at 5pm.

Tomorrow is another day and I will gloss the woodwork then.
I wonder what I can cook for tea?
