Before school starts. I don't know where the last 6 weeks have gone. I was expecting a call from the taxi firm which will be taking Richard to and from school this week. I still hadn't heard anything by Friday so I called the school. They didn't even know who the taxi firm were. Talk about dumb and dumber! After sometime the school called me back and confirmed a pick up time. I wonder if the taxi would have turned up at all if I hadn't called the school?

Alexander has settled into creche very quickly. I'm glad of that. He still asks why I'm going to work every day. I think he's a little happier now that he knows where I work, and knows where I'm going.

Work is great, all I could ever have hoped for. The staff and boss are really friendly. They want to change the way lots of things are done. Recently the business changed hands and the new owner wants fresh ideas and new ways of doing things. So we are ALL learning how the shop is going to work at the same time, trying out ideas and dumping things that don't work.So I don't feel like a new girl, but like an valued member of staff, and they are all looking at me to help them find new ideas. It's great we feel like a team already.

Now that September is only a few hours away, we here in Neath generally start concentrating on saving money to pay for Christmas. The boys know that they are not getting lots and lots of toys. They know what their big gift is going to be, they are each having a laptop, a DS LITE, and some games for the DS. Richard is also getting a new television for his room too. I also want to get new bedroom furniture. His room is so small that it gets untidy very easily. I think he will be happy with it.
