And I am awake, up and painting. Insomnia, who'd want it. I went to bed early as I just couldn't stay awake any longer, and seeing as Alexander was not happy in bed and crying I thought that I could join him and cuddle up. We both went out like a light, and I woke around 1am to find him still in bed with me and Paul in Alexander's room.

I am struggling with a coloured pencil drawing of three peppers. I'm using a different paper to what I usually use for pencils, and I really like the way the pencil goes on, and on a few occasions comes off. I think that I may have laid the darks down a bit too dark. I'm struggling to get the colours I want.

This morning we attended a ST. David's day concert at Alexander's school. The kid's really did a good job, the teacher who was presenting the concert made quite a few error's. She should have rehearsed a whole lot more. Never mind we had a laugh.


Paul had an unexpected day off today. There is a nasty stomach bug going around the hospitals in this area at the moment, and he refused to work on the ward they put him on today as it was full of people suffering with the bug. As he was working his day off to cover someone else he told his supervisors they'd have to find someone else. He doesn't want to bring the bug back home to the kids.
He's seen today how fast time goes between taking Alexander to school and bringing him home.
