The school year is almost over. The summer is creeping up on me. I'm excited because summer is my time of year. Things are good. I'm looking outside at the green trees and the ...brown lawn. Yep haven't had much rain. It's sort of sad. We've been pretty much except for the week of spring break, without precipitation. Thinks are dry, and we could use a good dousing. It's Florida, you never know.

Found out one of my dogs has a thyroid problem. I knew he was fat and slept all the time. I thought it was because he had a bad leg, but not at all. The other day when I was clipping his toenail, I cut a bit deep and it started bleeding and wouldn't stop. Took him to the vet who cauderized the toenail and said he thought he should test him for low thyroid. He was off the chart. Doctor put him on a strong dose of thyroid medicine. So far today, he's doing fine. He's been so perky since he started this medication and I promise you, he's already losing weight. He's such a cutie, I'd like to have him around a few more years. He's one of those dogs who sort of captures your heart. Reminds me a lot of my Sammy. He's not the brightest bulb but he's the sweetest.
