Summer passes quickly. Somehow here in sunny FL we've gone back to rain in the afternoons. It's so pretty here and green, but the grass grows like crazy and you can barely keep up with it. We mowed and weed whacked yesterday and I'll bet if it rains, it will grow an inch by tomorrow. Keeping up with it keeps you on your toes. Then we have this weird other worldly trailing vine that has huge alien purple flowers on it that look like pods. If I didn't know better, I'd say it was from Mars or a distant planet. It loves to grow over everything and you are constantly having to do battle with it. It always comes back though, sort of slithering through the fence from your neighbor who could care about his/her back yard. When you rip it out, it stinks like dirty socks. You think you have the root of it, but in a couple of weeks those weird purple flowers will show up. I told my husband it looked like invasion of the body snatchers. I'll try to get a photo of it so you can see it. It's so strange. I never saw it in any other state that I lived in growing up.
It's constantly in the 90's here, but thank goodness for a pool and a float to float around in it. That's what I'm going to do after my workout in a while. Looking forward to floating around and just being. My chores are done and I'm ready to relax.
Hope you guys are well. Stay cool.
This is the basil plant I was telling you about that has become a crazy wild thing.

This is my pool -- without me in it of course.
