Hi kev; I bought a grandfather pendulum clock 30 years ago, and it chimed every hour. I loved to hear it tick tock--but I worked nights and while I was trying to sleep during the day it would chime and tick tock so I stopped the pendulum. Now I'm retired and I can't get it to working again---I must have insulted it!
Glad to get your opinion about Home Depot versus Lowe's, because I'm needing to do some business with one of them so I'll try H.D. Thanks,
Have you posted pics of the house? Sorry if I've missed them..
It is possible your mother and her two sisters were molested by him too. And life is awfully unfair for that ba*tard to get away with what he did and still have so many people think well of him at his funeral. Think of how many lives he ruined. Makes my blood boil.
RE: your glass kitty water bowls: I read somewhere that to remove stains around the water rim in the toilet bowl to use denture tablets that dissolve in water, so I dumped in about 10 of them and they fizzed etc. but didn't do any good--but in a glass water bowl they might actually work.
That was incredible and so interesting--thanks for posting that..
OMG, love love coconut cake. I make the hillbilly version--use a box of yellow cake mix, "frost" with Cool-Whip and liberally cover with sweetened coconut, lol! Its good, but of course not as good as made from scratch,
I've sen her make this make on her TV show, she makes it look easy. I love lemon cake but could probably make that gooey cake instead.
Oh boy, that sounds delicious, I'll have to try it. I'm a die hard foodie and watch the Food Network all the time...
Okay, I have some qualms about that young girl who is legally a minor and her trip. Her parents according to the media, are seafaring folk, and her brother had already done that sail around the world thing, and maybe she felt like she HAD to do this to meet expectations. And here's another thing: The cost of her rescue should be billed to the parents. Anyone undertaking risky adventures, like climbing Mt. Hood or sailing around the world alone for instance, should have to pay a deposit to cover rescue efforts, because they are willingly placing themselves in harms way. PS Traveling around the US and seeing everything from a motor home has always been a dream of mine--hope you get to realize your dream.
PPSGlad you're back blogging on mybloggers!
Our yearly pine pollen inundation finished up about six weeks ago-it coats everything, and when the wind blows, you can see the yellow clouds of pollen dust wafting everywhere.
First laugh of the day! Thanks!
I'm dis-liking Walmart more and more, but choices are slim where I live--and the nearest W'mart is a 50 mile round trip, the nearest Target is an 80 mile round trip. I think the Target store is an upscale, cleaner place than W'mart, which caters to a more grungy clientele.
jj, that raised the hair on my neck it was scary! During hurricane season everybody wants to store cans of gas in their garages and sheds to have to run generators, but I'm scared to. That convinced me all over again not to have flammables around!
I agree with gapeach--money and greed is ruining college sports--why not eliminate college sports altogether?
