Internet Explorer vs Firefox

Here is something amazing that I just found out. I usually use IE, because it lets me use my favorites and holds hundreds of favorites. I can access them easily while I'm in greasy. But, when I make comments, I sometimes don't watch the answering feature well enough and the answers don't go in the correct place. So I decided to use Firefox. Then I noticed that my formatting changed in Firefox. Whereas, in IE the formatting held in my comments: the comments would be blue if the article were blue and the comments would be centered if the article were centered. But in Firefox, all of the formatting is lost in the comments. So I came back to IE, and found that it was as I left it, sometimes centered, and sometimes colored. I guess I will just use IE then, because of the advantages -- keep my favorites available, keep my formatting. Case closed.

Well here is another difference: My boxes don't line up as nicely in IE because the default size of the lettering is bigger! So my comment box is longer in IE. That's why I was having trouble in using the picture feature in IE. The words were too big and threw the browser off the page. Hmm, I bet Eddie uses Firefox... maybe.

You obviously use Windoze. I believe you must disable the feature that makes IE your "default" browser, so Firefox then can be set as the default browser. Try that, but get advice from another PC user. I am Mac. I regularly have three browsers turned on at the same time: FF, Safari and IE. Also some times Opera, when I'm designing a web site. And then, on the other machine (also a Mac) I always have IE turned on in Windows. That machine has a dual processor that allows me to do Mac OS and PC Windows, too - so I can check web pages I'm doing to see how they look in Windows. Awful, ain't it?

OK, If you look at this post now in both IE and Firefox, they should be very similar. I routinely check MyBloggers in multiple browsers to make sure that they at least look OK. The problem you were having before was due to An open tag in your post. Open tags are treated differently in FF & IE. BTW, I do primarily use Firefox.

I can't say I used IE enough to give it a fair evaluation, but after I have been forced to do it for one reason or another, I go back to Firefox as fast as I can. Comments here, for example, are orange, so your experience with formatting and color is not due to Firefox alone. Anyway, tabs in firefox work better than even Netscape, and if you highlight the address bar up top and type the first letter of what you want, you can go straight there without using any sort of "favorites". Oh well, I don't work for ff, so the choice is yours.... This is not a paid ad for Firefox!

I use both, but I have firefox in a temporary folder. It misses up my computer when I install it. I had to delete and just keep it in a folder and run it when I want to use it. I have to use firefox when I comment on Blogster.

When you install Firefox, it lets you import all your bookmarks (favorites) from all the other browsers. It also has better organizing for favorites. Firefox has been updating with tweaks and new features lately. I think this month alone I have received four updates. They install automatically.
