Dr. Scott Powell Sings

The former doctor of my friend's husband sings the lead in this song. About 15 or so years ago, Ken had a bad shoulder accident and was in tremendous pain. He had several operations. A few years later, they told me they found a wonderful doctor, who understood the condition... at last -- after many many doctors. Guess when Sha Na Na was fading, Scott decided to move on. Well, the world got a tremendously gifted physician in place of a singer.

I saw Bowser (John Bowman) on PBS during pledge drive recently --just a few weeks ago. They were trying to make some money to run the Los Angeles PBS station. Many singing groups have been making comebacks on PBS. I've seen them on our local PBS stations.

BTW, Bowser is the one that is the really mybloggers-one -- (look at his hair!) -- He always wears a black tee shirt and has that muscle pose.

The reason I remembered all of this is because I have Scott's autograph (on one of the old Sha Na Na albums) which my friend got for me about 13 years ago... or so. (It was old then). I remembered it just recently, when I saw Bowser in the pledge break. I remembered because I have just gotten another famous autograph... an autograph that you would ALL recognize. Not saying... but you would be impressed... VERY impressed.

Now for the part of this post some might find useful. Some of you, like I, need to look something up to see if it's spelled correctly, right in the middle of a comment or reply. I use Wordweb (Windows), which sits right in my system tray, so that I can highlight a word and click on the Wordweb icon and it tells me if it is spelled right or not and gives me a definition. Here is a link to a free download.

I loved Sha Na Na. My mom and I used to go to the concert every year when I was little.
