So it's been a while since I have blogged about the never ending job search. I found out for one of the two marathon interviews that there not considering me as a potential. Its good to know one way or another, even if I did spend a lot of time with them.

I sent in an email to the human resource person at the other joint last Friday and haven't heard a word from them. I am assuming at this juncture that they are not considering me for the position, considering they wanted to have this person at a conference which is in two weeks. I will assume that they've selected the person to go to the next round and they are interviewing and accepting the position this week. It doesn't make sense to not get any response what so ever if they were still considering me one of their "top candidates."

I have had two positive phone interviews with a major polling organization that has an International Headquarters in Washington, DC. They sent me an email today saying that the analysts are still reviewing my phone interviews and that I was still in consideration for this position.

I got a call last week while I was visiting my parents from a friend's place of work and they asked me to come in for an interview. I feel good about that one as well, but I can't decided if the interview was a courtesy or if they really wanted to hire someone who knew someone from the joint. I should know by the end of the week from them. I hope that they make a decision to offer me the position because I would be truly elated!

Anyway that's the job search update at this time. There will be another blog dedicated to life updates.
