So last Friday I scored my first job interview after losing my job. I lost my job on Tuesday and had an interview lined up for the following Friday (today). I am kind of superstitious so I will not blog extensively about it.

I got there and met with the human resources person, and we seemed to have a good repoir. The job sounded right up my alley. They are on the beginning cycle of their interviews and they will take two weeks to go through the first round. When you're unemployed, two weeks feels like two years. I hardly have the patience to wait at all even under normal circumstances. This is making it extremely difficult and is testing my limited virtue of patience.

I also have another first round interview set up with another place on Monday. The commute for this place is less than ideal, but overall it seems like a good opportunity. I also know that if push came to shove, I could stay with my aunt who lives way close to the place. So on Sunday night I am gonna go up (after or around dinner time) and stay at the aunt's place. I will bring my interview outfit and my samples and hopefully wow the gentleman who will be interviewing me. I wish people could just make a decision quickly dammit.

The irony of this statement is that I can't make decisions. In reflecting on the last week and half I have to say, I think I have become more fearless in other areas. I don't care what dudes think of me, I am saying exactly what I think 100% of the time instead of 85%. I am doing what I want to do, which is semi impulsive... but what are you gonna do?
