Being unemployed is an emotional up and down experience. I guess you might imagine it to be. Here is how the flow of emotions goes. It starts by seeing a cool job, you apply and you hope you get selected for an interview. If you happen to be 1 out of the 10 or more applicants they select for an interview. You get dressed up and you go to the interview. Then you wait, and you wait some more. You continue to apply, and you get very discouraged because you barely get an email telling you that they've received your resume.

After you fill out a half hour to an hour on-line application. And most of these people won't have the common courtesy of letting you know if you're in the running. So far, I have had recruiters tell me that I don't need them to help me but if I sign up for a paid website it will definitely help me. I have even applied to work in a restaurant again as a server or bartender. I am overqualified and they think I am going to land a job stat. This doesn't seem to be in my immediate future so I would like to disagree with them.

I have however, been trying to make the most of my paid time off. I have been going to the pool a lot. We even had a full day of drinking on Saturday by the pool. It was tons of fun. I have been trying to catch up with family and friends as much as possible where spending money is not required. Overall, I am trying to remain positive and embrace my new mantra.

I will get a good job, I will. Say it with me people and believe it. I am trying very hard to do the power of positive thinking.
