I had to fly out of town on Tuesday afternoon due to a lovely impending ice storm that never came to NY. However, I did get to spend some quality time with my family and it wasn't all bad.

I arrived Tuesday night and the usual mayhem was going on.... we were getting ready for this and that for the next day. We ate some pizza and crashed out early. Spike was driving me bonkers, because he was quite interested in the parentals dog Pebbles. At 10 pm after hours of unnecessary crying I broke down and gave him benedryl. We went to bed early, which I was exhausted...

I woke up and the Christmas Eve madness happened. We were having a lovely glorious dinner (prime rib and twice baked potatoes). So we picked up the roast and started to prepare it for baking. I had to do some last minute shopping and we didn't make it to church. I was not upset by this coincidentally.... We had our dinner and said something nice that we were thankful for around the table. My friend M showed up at the house around 830. We played Mexican Train dominoes which was super fun. He left and my best friend A showed up at midnight. My parents were like who is that. I was like it's A. I promise you. HAHA. It was and I got to meet her dog but did not get to spend any quality time with her, which was sad.

Christmas day came and went. We opened presents. It was nice but my sister M was quite ungrateful, she can't take care of herself but she thinks it would be a fantastic idea for her to get an english bulldog puppy. They are quite cute but dogs are a lot of responsibility and not something she is ready for.... She kind of ruined christmas. I screamed at her a couple times to let her know I was less than pleased with her behavior. We had another glorious meal of appetizers planned and a few people came over. I reigned as the Taboo Champion. I pissed off one of my mom's friends with my loud mouth and my ability to kick everyone's arse. They brought their dysfunctional son who stole from their daughter(ture story). He was obnoxious and no one wanted to talk to him. Every chance he could get he would tell a story about something that no one wanted to hear about. SD texted me to have a Merry Merry Christmas. This disturbed me because I miss him and wish he was here even with all the crap that went on, this is SOFA KING WEE TODDED! Did I mention I was mad about this?

Day After Christmas was get me some oil and change the oil in the car day. We spent some quality time together as well. I have recently become addicted to Mario Party on the WI and I have to tell you I suck at it, but it's a good time. I need to get a WI so I can improve my skills! I Went over to M's house and got the tour. Afterwards I came home and had dinner with the family and we finished up the evening with some Uno Games and more Mario Party.

Saturday it was time to go home. Spike had been obsessed with Pebbles. He did really well though. He did not get aggressive once. They saw each other on the leash outside twice. The first time she showed her teeth to him but he did not react so we praised and praised him. I may actually have a dog that can be social. We'll see the jury is still out. I got loaded up with tons of food for my freezer, which was pretty awesome. I got home and thought that there was going to be something going on at night. Unfortunately there was not. So I wound up staying in. At 10 pm my friend A (boy) texted me to tell me he was going to meet another friend out. See if he wanted me to meet up with him he would have given me more notice. This is my theory anyway.

Sunday I had to catch up on life. I went to the gym for the first time and then took a shower. I went out running errands to Target, Grocery store, and DSW. I got home at 5 and I was tired but not completely exhausted. I cooked dinner and then I had a hard time going to sleep. I kept dreaming that my phone was ringing over and over again. Spike left the bed cause I was tossing and turning so much.

This brings us to today which is Monday. I am back at work and highly unmotivated... but grateful that it's a 2.5 day work week. I will be leaving early around 4 today... and I have happy hour/dinner plans tonight with some friends who I haven't seen in a while so that will be fun times.
