Gasoline is outrageous! And we haven't even got to tourist season yet. It is time for Obama to do something.  The economy is WAY TOO BAD for gasoline to be this high!
I am picking up the girls from school this week because Bevan and his dad are repairing the fence at their home. Then they are going to restain the whole thing.
Yesterday, I only had Kenzie because Bailey was on a mission trip to Nashville with the church and they did not return until last evening. The group only had about three days, but they made the most of it.
(This is the junior high choir, which consists of about 500 kids.)  First, they went to a mission center, where they sang for the homeless there. Then, they asked the group if they had any prayer requests. Some were really poignant.
Next, the group went to a food bank where they put together 500 food bags to be given to hungry children.Â
Anyway, the next day they went into the inner city where they set up a carnival, complete with a baloon walk, huge inflatable slides, and lots of different booths. The Prestonwood kids asked the adults and the kiddos if they had any prayer requests.Â
As well, adults were circulating all the time to counsel with anyone who asked to speak to someone. Bailey returned rejuvenated and happy because she felt they had truly reached and helped some people.
Though Holly and Bevan attend a different denominational church as I, I am so thankful that they are setting good examples for their children to follow.Â
I am a firm believer in the adage, "Bring up a child in the way that he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
