There is Never a Forever
There is Never a Forever
I don't know why I am sharing this with strangers but maybe it is better this way.
My best friend's brother just celebrated his 60Th birthday..They live together my best friend and her brother..
The brother whose name is Rick hasn't been feeling good for several week .He finally decided to go to the doctors .. After blood work ,he received a call from the doctors office to go to the hospital to get a blood transfusion..That was a week ago this past Thursday.. He is still in the hospital.
Yesterday he was informed that he has Cancer and it is to far advanced for treatment .They have given him 2 weeks to a month to live..
I am shocked here is a man who is laughing and joking around and worked up to the day he went to the doctors. Doesn't even look sick..
I shouldn't be surprised because this is the same way my husband was diagnosed when he was told he had cancer. At least he had 4 years before he died. But my God 2 weeks how do you put closure to your life in 2 weeks.. How many I love yous and I'm sorry and hugs and kisses can you give out in 2 weeks..
At least he isn't suffering and hopefully he will have a peaceful passing..
I have been reminded as I was when my husband passed that that nothing is forever.. So live each day as if it were your last.. Don't be afraid to say I Love you or I'm sorry Or I have loved being your friend ,because you could spin around and that person is gone..
Thanks for listening and letting me shed a few tears while writing this.
