To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar

In this wacky comedy, three New York drag queens (Wesley Snipes, Patrick Swayze & John Leguizamo) on their way to Hollywood for a beauty pageant get stranded in a small Midwestern town for the entire weekend when their car breaks down. While waiting for parts for their Cadillac convertible, the flamboyant trio shows the local homophobic rednecks that appearing different doesn't mean they don't have humanity in common.

PG-13    109 Minutes     1995

5 Stars. LOVED this show when it first came out & still enjoy it so much. Wonderful story. First film I saw that I found out that being gay was ok (of course I then thought I had to be a drag queen too....)

Ray and I love this movie. We pop it in from time to time just because it is so good!
Unlike Martin, I am not a huge fan of Priscilla ... It gets me so darned depressed everytime I watch it! Ray likes it, though.

Though I did like this film I liked Priscella, Queen of the Desert, more--both covered a lot of the same territory--though Julie had a good cast Priscella's was better!!!

That is one of my favorite movies of all time. One of my favorite lines in the movie: "Why is that little latin boy crying on the stairs" and "You need to learn how to treat a lady (when she grabs him by the balls)
