Finding solace in the songs of Judy Garland

in the wake of 9/11, Rufus Wainwright

decided to re-create the songstress's famous 1961 Carnegie Hall show -- with him on vocals. This film captures Wainwright channeling Judy at the London Palladium. Although he may not sound much like Judy, he captures her spirit on some of the songs most closely associated with her, such as "Over the Rainbow," "The Man That Got Away," "Get Happy" and more.

3.25 stars (Dale-3.5, David-3). Enjoyed this. Loved the way he did Over the Rainbow. His sister's voice is outstanding!!! Loved that Judy's other daughter, Lorna, performed. WHAT A VOICE!!
