Fresh ginger root is an exceptional therapy for aiding digestion & stimulating circulation. This drink is warming & soothing solo or sweetened with a spoon of honey. When cooled, this tea is a lively ingredient for a papaya smoothie.
(we didn't try it with the smoothie but by itself we thought it was 2 stars)
1/4 cup grated ginger
4 cups fresh water
raw honey to taste (optional)
Mix ginger with water in a small saucepan & bring to a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat. Allow to simmer for 3 to 5 minutes. Strain into a teapot or cups. Sweeten with honey to taste if desired.
So I know most of you have already read this but I am now adding this other comment a few days after my original post. We used the Ginger Brew in a smoothie and the score jumped up to a 5 stars! Very delicious! We used blueberries, banana, granny smith apple & the ginger brew. Nice!!
