If you think Mabel "Madea" Simmons (writer-director Tyler Perry
of Diary of a Mad Black Woman) is crazy under normal circumstances, just watch what happens when she has a captive audience -- in jail! In this stage play, Madea gets thrown into the slammer amid a cell full of fellow inmates, everybody's favorite Southern matriarch lets her trademark gums flap, sharing her opinions with anyone who wants to listen (& even those who don't).

2 stars. some funny bits but the theater production on the screen is not the best format.
