In this fun-filled family comedy, recently widowed anthropologist James Krippendorf (Richard Dreyfuss)

has run out of grant money. In order to get more, he must show tangible results from his "research" so far. ...Trouble is, he doesn't have any! Desperate, Krippendorf recruits his children to help. Dressed in grass skirts & makeup & inventing "native" dances, they become the Shelmikedmu tribe!

4 stars. Pretty funny! Was great to see Ka`a`awa Valley

on Kualoa Ranch. We recognized Kilauea Iki Crater (on the Big Island in Volcanes National Park) where Lily Tomlin realizes that Krippendorf is faking it.
