Harold & Maude

Death-obsessed teen Harold Chasen (Bud Cort)

is being hassled by his domineering mother (Vivian Pickles)

to play the dating game, but he'd much rather attend funerals, which is where he meets the feisty Maude (Ruth Gordon),

a geriatric widow who's high on life. The seemingly mismatched pair forms a bond that turns into a highly unconventional -- but ultimately satisfying - romance in this comical cult favorite from director Hal Ashby.

Rated PG 1 hour 31 minutes 1971

5 stars! Awesome classic, super happy they didn't show the love scene!!! Cute love story!

Harold and Maude is one my all-time favorite movies, as much for the wonderful Cat Stevens music as anything. I have never forgotten what she said about the ring he gave her after she threw it into the water: 'I'll always know where it is.'

We are Netflix members and do not have a TV so all we watch is online stuff (very little) or movies. Glad you approve of the recent choices....hope your getting ideas for other shows to watch.
