Funny Girl

Director William Wyler's musical tells the story of legendary Ziegeld Follies comedienne Fanny Brice (Barbara Streisand), who grew up in the Jewish slums of New York dreaming of stardom. When Brice finally fulfills her dream and becomes the toast of Broadway, the resentful reaction of her husband (Omar Shariff) threatens to destroy their marriage. The film received eight Academy award nominations and earned Streisand the Oscar for Best Actress.

I am giving this only 2 stars. I couldn't get into the film until all the way at the end. It just wasn't for me.

WOW!!! I watch it at least once a year--until Jennifer Hudson in Dreamgirls Barbra's movie debut was the best--I had seen it on Broadway opening night--the response was unbelievable--and yes youy ARE a bad gay boy for not just loving it--I will have to bring you up to the gay board to see if they will recertify you!!!
