This eponymous series begins with neurotic "Cheers" shrink Frasier Crane leaving Boston and surfacing in Seattle as a radio host, with his retired dad as his roommate and his uptight brother, Niles, living nearby.
1. The Good Son - Frasier Crane, everyone's favorite self-absorbed psychiatrist from Cheers, moves back to his hometown of Seattle. He has a promising new job as a radio psychiatrist, and he's living in a beautifully furnished apartment. Then his brother, Niles, informs him that their father, a retired policeman who was wounded in the line of duty, can no longer live alone. Frasier realizes that a nursing home would be too harsh for Martin, so reluctantly, he invites Martin to move in with him. But Frasier gets more than he bargained for when a psychic English homecare specialist and Martin's four-legged companion join them. 3.63 stars (Dale-4, David-3.25)
2. Space Quest - Frasier goes on a quest for peace and solitude to read his book but several interruptions are caused by his extended family, even after his esoteric morning routine speech. 4.38 stars (Dale-4.5, David-4.25)
3. Dinner at Eight - Frasier and Niles agree to eat at Martin's favorite restaurant, not anticipating its "laid-back" atmosphere, which leads to the boys offending Martin. 4 stars.
4. I Hate Frasier Crane - After a newspaper critic prints an unflattering column about his radio show, Frasier starts a feud which culminates in a physical challenge. After the newspaper critic challenges Frasier for a fight and Frasier flaunts up excuses, Frasier accepts the fight. 3.63 stars (Dale-3.75, David-3.5)
5. Here's Looking at You - When Frasier buys his father a telescope, Martin meets a woman in a nearby building with a telescope of her own. Although they seem to immediately hit it off, he mysteriously rejects her when she asks him out. 3.5 stars.
6. The Crucible - Frasier throws a dinner party to showcase his newest possession (a painting) and is horrified when the forgetful artist declares it a forgery. Frasier gets a brick and his intentions to throw it through the window of The Hayson Gallery, where he purchased the painting, for retribution are foiled by a frightful Niles. 3.25 stars.
7. Call Me Irresponsible - Frasier deals with an ethical dilemma when he begins dating a woman after he advises her boyfriend to break up with her. When the boyfriend expresses a renewed interest in Catherine, Frasier does everything he can to prevent their re-acquaintance. 3.63 stars (Dale-3.25,David-4)
8. Beloved Infidel - Niles and Frasier begin to suspect their father of cheating on their mother years earlier after they discover him in an apparent clandestine rendezvous with an old friend. The truth is revealed when the old friend tells Frasier the truth. 3.5 stars (Dale-3.75, David-3.25)
9. Selling Out - Frasier's agent cons him into endorsing a product he doesn't support...and which makes Frasier look a little nutty. 3.88 stars (Dale-4, David-3.75)
10. Oops - Bulldog panics and quits the station after he overhears Frasier discussing a rumor that Bulldog will be fired, when infact he was going to get a promotion. Frasier does all he can to help restore Bulldog's job and in the process learns who was supposed to get fired. 4 stars.
11. Death Becomes Him - Frasier becomes aware of his own mortality when a man his age suddenly drops dead. Frasier attends the man's Shiva to determine how he could have died so young. 3.88 stars (Dale-4.25, David-3.5)
12. Miracle on Third or Fourth Street - Frasier volunteers to work on Christmas Day when he learns that Frederick will not be visiting him for the holidays. The callers are as depressed as Frasier, who decides to cheer himself up by eating dinner at a local diner, where the patrons assume he's homeless. 3.5 stars.
13. Guess Who's Coming to Breakfast - Frasier makes a fool of himself yet again, when he talks at length on the radio about Martin's romantic rendezvous. 3.25 stars (Dale-3.5, David-3)
14. Can't Buy Me Love - Martin convinces Frasier to participate in a charity bachelor auction. 3.88 stars (Dale-3.75, David-4)
15. You Can't Tell a Crook by His Cover - Frasier and Niles try to protect Daphne's honor when she goes on a date with an ex-con. 4 stars.
16. The Show Where Lilith Comes Back - Frasier's ex-wife Lilith comes to Seattle, ostensibly to attend a convention, but as Frasier soon discovers, Lilith has ulterior motives. 3.25 stars (Dale-3.5, David-3)
17. A Midwinter Night's Dream - Following Frasier's advice, Niles tries spice up his love life with Maris, but his efforts backfire. When he tries to smooth things over with a romantic dinner, he and Daphne end up alone together on a dark and stormy night. 3.25 stars (Dale-3.5, David-3)
18. And the Whimper is... - At his carnivorous agent's urgings, Frasier campaigns hard to win a Seabee, Seattle radio's biggest award, only to regret his actions when he learns that Seattle's most eminent talk show host is retiring at the end of the year. 3.5 stars.
19. Give Him the Chair! - Frasier gets himself into trouble when he throws out Martin's old chair, rationalizing that he would actually be helping his father. Frasier searches all over Seattle, and ultimately to a high school production of Ten Little Indians, to retrieve the chair. 3.88 stars (Dale-3.75, David-4)
20. Fortysomething - Frasier fears being a "mid-life crisis cliche" after he flirts with an attractive 22-year-old store clerk. 3.75 stars (Dale-4, David-3.5)
21. Travels with Martin - The Cranes and Daphne set off on a road trip in a Winnebago to Mount Rushmore. Trouble ensues when Martin takes them into Canada, where Daphne, due to legal particulars, isn't allowed. 4.25 stars.
22. Author, Author - Sibling rivalry flares when Frasier and Niles decide to collaborate on a self-help book. 4.25 stars.
23. Frasier Crane's Day Off - Frasier comes down with the flu, so food critic Gil Chesterton fills in for him. When paranoid Frasier believes both Gil and subsequent fill-in host Niles are after his job, he's more determined than ever to get back on the air. 3.88 stars (Dale-3.75, David-4)
24. My Coffee with Niles - Frasier and Niles meet at Café Nervosa to discuss the one-year anniversary of Frasier's move to Seattle. 4.13 stars (Dale-4, David-4.25)
