In the fourth season of this NBC spy series, Chuck (Zachary Levi) decides to return to the agency and embarks on an odyssey to find his mother (Linda Hamilton) with the help of Morgan (Joshua Gomez); still, he has yet to tell Ellie (Sarah Lancaster) what he does for a living. Nicole Richie, Olivia Munn and Dolph Lundgren join a roster of guests, which includes Rob Riggle as an eternal optimist and loose-cannon recruit.
1. Chuck vs. the Anniversary - Chuck and Morgan try to find Chuck's mother, while Sarah and Casey investigate a Russian operative. 4.5 stars (Dale-4.75, David-4.25)
2. Chuck vs. the Suitcase - Chuck and Sarah go undercover in Milan in order to find a secret weapon. 4.5 stars.
3. Chuck vs. the Cubic Z - Chuck and Sarah's rivals Hugo Panzer and Heather Chandler return bringing plenty of trouble and hints about Chuck's mom. Meanwhile, while Morgan prepares the Buy More for a huge video game release, he gets a surprise from Big Mike. 4.5 stars.
4. Chuck vs. the Coup d'Etat - Chuck and Sarah work on their relationship as they accompany Ellie and Devon to Costa Gravas to meet Generalissimo Alejandro Goya who finds himself in a dangerous situation once again. Casey has to contend with Morgan's interest in his daughter. 4.5 stars.
5. Chuck vs. the Couch Lock - When Casey's former team returns looking for him, Chuck must decide what he's willing to sacrifice in order to find his mom. Elsewhere, Morgan works up the nerve to reveal a potentially dangerous secret to Casey. 4.75 stars.
