4.5 stars. Amazing acting, interesting story. The little child was a complete brat. Really liked Shirley's character!

I thought that this was the original one.Did I missed something.
Then a few years back they remade this.Nicole Kidman,in the Hours.
So what was the original.Guess that I have to look this up.

You should see the original movie based on the play--completely whitewashed the whole lesbian thing--the story at that time was the producer said 'Call Them Thespians" which became the title of a book about gay themed movies in Hollywood!!

In 1936 the play was made into a film directed by William Wyler. However, because of the Production Code, the story was adapted into a heterosexual love triangle, the controversial name of the play was changed and the movie eventually released as These Three.[4] Hellman reportedly worked on the screenplay, virtually all of the play's original dialogue was kept, and she was satisfied with the result, saying the play's central theme of gossip was unaffected by the changes. Can't find it on Netflix though.
