when i find myself in times of trouble
mother mary comes to me
speaking words of wisdom, let it be
and in my hour of darkness
she is standing right in front of me
speaking words of wisdom, let it be
let it be, let it be
let it be, let it be
whisper words of wisdom, let it be
and when the broken hearted people
living in the world agree
there will be an answer, let it be
for though they may be parted there is
still a chance that they will see
there will be an answer, let it be
let it be, let it be. yeah
let it be, let it be
there will be an answer, let it be
and when the night is cloudy
there is still a light that shines on me
shine on until tomorrow, let it be
i wake up to the sound of music
mother mary comes to me
speaking words of wisdom, let it be
let it be, let it be
let it be, let it be
there will be an answer, let it be
let it be, let it be
let it be, let it be
whisper words of wisdom, let it be
Tori has performed this song several times live, in-concert, including during the Dew Drop Inn Tour in Springfield, MA on May 17, 1996; in Detroit, MI on May 31, 1996; and in Chicago, IL on September 28, 1996. The most notable performance of Let It Be was during a concert in Miami, FL on October 23, 1996 where Tori began her performance of Spacedog with Caton accompaning on guitar. Towards the end of the song, Tori stopped singing suddenly saying, "I'm sorry. I'm so sick. I'm really so sick...", got upset, and had to leave the stage. When she returned, she said, "Thanks guys, I had a very bad day. But uh, I have three choices really: go home, go to the hospital, or play. So um...so anyway I know I'm gonna play....I've never done this before....I don't know what's gonna happen." and then began playing Let It Be.
