I think of that poem quite often. When I went to Arlington Cemetary, it came back with a "bang". I understand we have the second largest veteran's vemetary here in Houston. I have two friends who are buried there. For some reason my veteran Husband thought it was a "Cheap" way to bury them and he didn't want us to be buried there. I could not understand him as it is so beautiful and impressive out there. I give thanks for all who gave their life for my freedon and those who die every day. Wish we could bring all our young people home. Nena
What a great place to work. You can have a laugh a day. My sister and I are getting on, so we try to find something funny to start our day. We usually laugh at ourself. Nena
I can remember when gas was 19cents a gallon. We kids would pool our money and put gas in whose ever car we were in. Also, we would buy a coke for a nickle and also a big candy bar. Were those the good ole days? I think not - there were many people who were hungry then also. My mom had a pear tree and we canned pear jam, pear jelly, pears, pear butter. I vowed I would never eat them again when I grew up.
May God hold our country in his hand on election day. I just don't know who to vote AGAINST!!! Would like to run my own person.
