Paris, Las Vegas was wonderful. It's such a great "little" hotel in the center of the strip so it was just perfect for us and my gimp foot. We actually didn't leave Paris once we arrived other than to travel to Bally’s but the two casinos were connected.
The picture below is just before entering Bally’s via Paris. The stained glass ceiling right there was amazing.
And that's the beauty of Vegas.. it's not *all* about the gambling. There's so much to do and see! Though for us, it's about the gambling which is why we just stuck it out between Paris and Bally’s.
I won about $600 the first day and ended up going home with $175 from those winnings. But at least I didn't have to hit the ATM like my not-so-lucky husband had to do on numerous occasions.
Speaking of my H, we went to Vegas to celebrate our 1 wedding anniversary…Today, on the other hand, marks our 8th year together. That’s right: 8 years ago we met in person for the first time after about a 2 month online “affairâ€. Life sure can be quite wondrous at times. I knew when I first met my H online that I would love him completely one day, but then when we met in person for the first time, I didn’t feel that physical attraction… Fortunately for me, my man was *very* persistent and 8 years later we’ve been happily married for a year.
Some say the first year is the hardest. Not sure if ours was cake because we’d been together for 7 years prior or what, but our 1st year was anything but hard. It was truly wonderful to go to bed and have him there to smile at me first thing in the morning… to have him there to hug and kiss good day or good night… to have him there to lay around on the couch and watch bad TV… to have him there through thick and thin. He’s my rock, that man. And I’m so blessed.
Tonight we’re eating cake and I can’t wait! We only had one bite of our cake on our wedding day over a year ago and we didn’t get to indulge in a slice on our anniversary because we were in Vegas so we decided to partake today, on our 8th year together.
My oh my how time flies.
