In further preparation for the Blackest Night storyline, the Green Lantern Corps comes up against another group armed with power rings: The Sinestro Corps. As it would seem is obvious, the group is headed by Sinestro, a bane for the Green Lanterns and Hal Jordan's former mentor and nemesis.

The rings of the Sinestro Corps work in the color green, which is a color the Green Lantern Corps has always found resistant to their powers. To make matters even worse, the Sinestro Corps find strength in spreading fear. They are able to use the most personal phobias of each of the Green Lanterns against themselves.

The cast of this storyline is filled with familiar faces including human Green Lanterns John Stewart, Kyle Raynor, Hal Jordan and Guy Gardner as well as a number of familiar alien Lanterns. It will take all of them to challenge the forces of fear in the Sinestro Corps.

This was really well done. Having already read, Blackest Night, I already have some sense of where this is going to go, but that doesn't mean that I am not finding it thoroughly enjoyable. I am a little disappointed that I have to wait for volume 2 to come in on hold for me because I can't wait to see where it is going to go in sorting out a resolution. With that said, I am sure it will be worth the wait.
