I don't know if you have a Chinese Night Market where you live, but we have one, actually several here. I have been to many night markets in China, the pearl market, the dog market, the crazy night market at the entrance to Macaau from Zhouhai - it's a riot of noise and colour and food and people and the best, the very best high test coke in six ounce glass bottles (ice cold). There are noodle shops, squid pancakes, oyster omellettes, heart crepes (not made with hearts but with strawberries and whipped cream and chocolate. Not sure why it got tagged with the moniker of Chinese Night Market because it certainly has a fairly diversified Asian make up, The Koreans, and Vietnamese and the Thai were all there flogging everything from hello kitty to crotchless underwear. No finer place to be in the middle of the night!!
