There was a painter named Wayne, who was very interested in making a penny where he could, so he often thinned down his paint to make it go a wee bit farther.
As it happened, he got away with this for some time, but eventually the Baptist Church decided to paint the outside of one of their biggest buildings. Wayne put in a bid and got the job because of his low price. So he put up the scaffolding and painted away. The job was almost completed when there came a big clap of thunder and the rain poured down, washing the thinned paint off and knocking Wayne off. He landed by the tombstones among puddles of thinned and useless paint.
Wayne was no fool. He knew this was a judgment from God. So he got down on his knees and cried,â€Oh, God forgive me! What should I do?†From the thunder, a mighty voice spoke--â€Repaint, repaint! And Thin no more!â€
