Thunder Storm

3.30 am --woken up with an almighty clash of thunder which made the window rattle , a few more followed with lightening flashes, well i was truly awake so went outside to see the light show and it was worth it as it went on until after 4 am. when it faded in the distance.
The first thunderstorm for summer , luckily with all the lightening no bush fires were started , everything here is bone dry , the country fire service has told those that are in bush fire areas to clear around the house and have an evacuation plan ready

Here, we worry about wildfire preparedness all the time. There isn't a 'fire season' any more, could happen any time of the year, so I have to re-pack my go-bag every six months for cold weather and hot weather clothes.

I love storms too, but do your lightning storms actually mean you got rain? If not, I hope you get some.

I hope you have no fire problems. It is always a danger here in our hot dry summers.
