Wednesday ...

Wednesday I will be up in Toledo with two uncles until 'who-knows-what-time.'

Hobbes asked if he could blog all day but I said no because he is not an adult and I don't want him surfing porn sites and checking out that cute kitty over in Blogsterville.

I got this from a friend:

A dog is truly a man's best friend. If you don't believe it, just try this experiment. Put your dog and your wife or girlfriend in the trunk of the car for an hour. When you open the trunk, who is really happy to see you?

-
But it wouldn't work with a cat, you see... Once you opened the trunk lid the cat would be gone in a flash. Not happy!

I'm broke for the month but I have a fifty-dollar Barnes & Noble gift card from Christmas burning a hole in my pocket. Maybe my uncles will take me to the B&N at the Fallen Timbers Mall in Maumee? I will bribe them by treating them to a coffee there, if the coffee shop honors the card.

Bisbee Bird recuperated just fine from his miasma, whatever it was. Bunjii is not doing well. It is just a matter of time and care.

I am going to experiment soon with some collected frozen vegetables. I have Brussels sprouts, corn, peas and a bunch of Sandia chilis (YOWIE!) in the freezer. I also have one green bell pepper in the fridge, celery, carrots and beets. I have some canned sliced water chestnuts, too. Hmmmm?

I soaked a few cups of navy beans since yesterday afternoon. They got nice and soft. Now I will drain them, fry up some bacon. Add some water, and cook them for a couple hours. Then add chopped up fried bacon, grease and all, and the tomato sauce and barbecue sauce. I also always add a little horseradish. It give the baked beans a nice kick. Then I bake the whole mess in the oven.

With gall bladder problems it behooves to swallow a few Fish Oil caps prior to eating any kind of beans. Believe me.

Laterz...
