The blue is for the NY Giants. The rest is moot. I don't know if fate has any hand in it, but the Patriots are just too damn tough. Regardless of the cheating scandal (which isn't over-with!) I don't foresee any problem with the perfect season/post-season.

But the blues are because I didn't get the time and energy to prepare and mail my annual Super Bowl Sunday newsletter. This for the first time since I skipped Christmas cards in favor of the newsletter, will be more karma for me to carry.

I quit the cards during the divorce and ended up doing five newsletters. Now the string is broken.

But I will certainly save postage stamps.

So here is the bulk of what I had in mind for the 2008 Super Bowl Newsletter:

"It was a strange year. It began in January and recently finished just in time for New Year's Day.

We survived.

Barely.

You get the idea? It wasn't much of a year.
