Lots of sirens this morning. Police. Ambulances. Fire trucks.

My cats are hogging the windows. They are very curious when they hear sirens.

Our county fair is underway. Somebody probably got kicked by a horse.

Or ate one corn dog too many.

Or fell off the Ferris wheel.

Or saw the prices at the funnel cake stand.

Browns football camp is underway.

They have signed everyone except a wide receiver from Ohio State, Brian Robiskie.

I hope they don't trade their team away, as did the Indians, for a ham sandwich and a handshake.

On second thought, looking at their performance last season, maybe that would be a good idea?

I didn't play golf with the senior mens' league this morning. It is the end of the month and money is short.

I also didn't go to sleep until about two-thirty a.m.

That's reason enough.

What's this thing about young people who never thank you for doing something good.?

I took Mariah and her two boys to the fair Tuesday, and even though it is the end of the month I drained my bank account at the ATM so they could ride the rides, fill up on junk food and have a good time.

I didn't get so much as a "Hey, thanks" in return.

Wait! One of the boys won a cheap plush toy and asked me to give it to the cats.

I suppose that's enough.
