Here we go again. Today is first Sunday football day. The Brownies lost in GB last night, which was expected. Nothing new there. The games have been going on this week, but the first Sunday is when the fanatics try out their new tailgate BBQs and coolers. That's the important thing, you know. You have to be prepared if you are a fan.
On another subject, I am not going to comment about last night's "hot" date. I did arrive back home just before 4:30 a.m. My cats were livid! But I had fed them plenty before I left Saturday? What's up with that?
Don't ask.
On another subject. It is too hot and humid to paint much. I probably slapped less than three square inches of paint on a canvas yesterday morning while it was still a nice and cool 80F up there. Then I washed the brushes.
We will have 90s today and tomorrow. The rain front passed through the Mississippi River overnight, so it is still two days from here. Hell, it IS August. At least I don't have to watch those two tropical storm way out in the Atlantic and button down with plywood over my windows.
Brunch day. I pick up Mom at her senior eldercare whatsis center at eleven a.m. We almost always go to TJ Willie's for the breakfast buffet. She eats most things but all I can eat is the fruit and the pastries. Everything on a breakfast buffet is loaded with fat. No fat or my GB will have me down for days.
I do enjoy the tapioca, though, and it doesn't seem to kill me at all.
Last night. Wow.
I have been once again drafted by the leaders of the Art Guild to be a member of the Board of Directors. I told them that I can't volunteer to do any giant chores until maybe sometime this winter. No "chair" of the Heritage Festival, etc. or etc. I have too many things going on. Board meeting tomorrow at 5:30. General meeting at 7:00. Drinks with "Wow" after that.
We could use some rain. If you have too much rain, please parse some of it my way.
Prayers to MzScarlett.
Tea for the Tillerman.
