Don't try this at home.
I spent the last three days cleaning this old two-story abode. This is a frequent requirement, especially due to six feline housemates, the Autumn season when the furnace comes on (forced air, and very very dusty no matter how frequently I change filters) and the fact that I have visitors galore this month and next.
Today I rose up in the dark and swept every crevice and tile on the kitchen floor - that room's final unclean region. Then I went on my knees, bucket and rag in hand and used water and Armstrong Floor cleaner on the whole huge surface. I have to block off the room because the cats enjoy traipsing on the wet floor!
I turned on the freshly cleaned ceiling fan - high speed - and moved on to dusting and tossing crap into closets, etc, while the floor dried. Two hours later i did the whole thing again, on hands and knees, with Mop 'n Glo.
Two Aleve's and a beer.
Now I'm done. Almost.
I just saw a pile of papers to stick someplace out of sight.
This never ends.
