Nena's post made me think about something I've said to my family often.
My friends and family and I have had so much fun just sitting around a table, be it in a restaurant or in someone's home, eating chips and salsa and drinking tea.
If it wouldn't appear too flippant or disrespectful, I would really like to have little round tables set up on the other side of whatever room in which my wake is being held. Each table would sport its own bowl of tostada chips and spicy tomato salsa and a sweaty pitcher of iced tea. Little boxes of Sweet & Low are a must! Cloth napkins and cheese sauce would be an added bonus. Hot flour tortillas would make it almost Heaven. (Oh wait, that's where I plan to be. You don't get to go yet.) Then my friends and family could sit around and talk about me and hopefully remember good things together.
Honestly, I don't see it happening, but it was a nice thought. You think I could force them (whoever's still around by then) to do it somehow?
Thanks for stopping by!
