Someone once said that in order to become a "sweet old person", one had to start out by being a "sweet young person". Today, you can just call me Oscar the Grouch.

That's not entirely true. I feel great. Got lots of work done today and a workout in at the gym. We were going to paint the bathroom tonight, but I decided enough was enough. Tomorrow will be a great day for doing that.
The grouchy part comes in here:
I planted sod in front of our church today. There's a very real possibility that, if someone realizes it's sod and it's still quite portable, it could be stolen. I'm just sayin'. That's the kind of neighborhood in which we are working. So, there's that little nagging worry.

Upon arriving home, some five year old kid just walked right up on our little patch of grass and broke off part of my chile plant. When I called his attention and asked him to please not walk up there, he just kept on walking straight ahead and never turned around to acknowledge. His mother and grandmother came around the corner and just smiled like nothing when I asked them to please tell the child not walk up on the "little garden". They had no intention of telling him anything.

They promptly went upstairs and turned on some really loud Shakira music. LOUD!

Have I mentioned lately how much I hate living in an apartment? I've got my eye on a piece of property out on the rancho. It's got a $10,000 price tag and finding a loan for that would be a little tricky, but seriously folks, I'm read for a yard of my own and some privacy.
 I think I'll take my Jenny out for some tasty caffeine drink. 'Night all.
